1 zoneSingle zone wine coolers have one device for cooling & one set of temp controls. A single zone wine cooler is cooler at the bottom than at the top of the cabinet. Thus, storing your red wines at the top and the white wines at the bottom provides differing temperatures. Setting the cooler temperature to 55 degrees makes for a good balance between the ideal temperatures for red and white temperature drinking. A single zone cooler is lower cost as well.
Multi-ZonesMulti-zone wine coolers usually are usually served by a separate cooling device with a separate temp control for each zone. Be aware that this is not always the case. Some times a single cooling device with or without separate controls is used to cool multiple zones. This method of cooling is lower cost and satisfactory for most applications.
